Al Musawat Newspaper Archive

Al Musawat Newspaper has been in circulation since our inception. Activists, feminists and women’s defenders in Iraq write its contents, which are issued approximately three times per year. Our community’s support is an essential part of the success of Al Musawat newspaper, from volunteered distribution and circulation to lending us stories of women survivors in Iraq. In Baghdad and Basra’s historical intellectual centers, Al Mutanabbi and Al Farahidi, respectively, our newspaper has a regular readership, while in other governorates from the north to the south of Iraq Al Musawat newspaper reaches the most vulnerable people to inform them of the resources available to them and of the communities which understand their struggles. Al Musawat Newspaper comes out in Arabic only and you can access an archive of past issues below

Donate to our
efforts in Iraq

We warmly welcome and appreciate your generosity and support to OWFI and to the Iraqi women we protect. Your financial contribution will support OWFI’s work on the ground including funding the Feminist School, the Al Mousawat Radio production, and  emergency rescue expenses. We also use these resources to bridge the funding gaps for the ongoing and increasing expenses of sheltering, providing medical and psycho-social services, food, clean water and clothes for the thousands of families we work with.
